Diversity Amongst Students
The students of Nimitz High School come from every different type of background. At school, they come together and share their experiences and support one another. No matter what their race, religion, or favorite band is, they can look past it and are able to connect with one another. They put their best foot forward and shoot for the stars! The level of dedication rivals that of other schools, and students relish their time here!

Nimitz Students Are Academically Successful
Students at Nimitz High School are given the highest attention and dedication to reach their goals.  Students in all grade levels work their hardest and build lifelong friendships. We bond and communicate with other friends, share our stories, and listen in times of need. Nimitz High School’s students are not only amazing academically, but also athletically. Every year many students receive awards from sports they participate in. Students not only work hard for personal satisfaction and gain, but they also want to make the school look better as well. We take time to perfect our sport and stay after school (or before) to get that extra little practice in.

Devoted To The Success of Nimitz High School
Students at Nimitz are given so many resources to be successful not only in high school, but also when starting to apply to colleges. The counselors help to ensure that they meet their deadlines and know which sites are available for their use. The counselors are so devoted to the students, and the students, in return, are dedicated to their work and to turning things in on time. Students have the resources of tutoring, laptops for research, and students to aid others who miss a few days or are just having trouble in a particular class. With the “Word of the Week Wall,” the vocabulary of students improves daily. Incentives are set for the students that display their knowledge of the words set for each individual week. Good job winners!

Come Join The Nimitz Experience
If your student wants to feel the ultimate high school experience and gain an excellent education, then Nimitz High School is definitely the right place to begin. The teachers and friends at this school are what really make the four years bearable and enjoyable. With three national merit semi-finalists (a record!) and many passing AP scores on the previous year’s tests, there is no doubt that Nimitz produces the brightest and hardest working students of the bunch. Students, let’s keep up the amazing reputation of Nimitz and continue to do our best!
