Texas Interscholastic League Foundation Scholarship

Only students participating on the state level in the UIL Academic State Meet contests are eligible to apply.  Athletic, music and honor crew participation on any level DOES NOT qualify a student to apply for this scholarship.

Platinum Torch Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate a high interest in volunteerism.

Awards are based solely on the highest total of verified community service hours during the current academic year.  Visit the website www.platinumtorch.org to download an application or come by the counseling office to pick one up.

Irving Symphony League Music Award

Must be planning to major or minor in music in college

Live audition of no more than 10 minutes consisting of two or more contrasting music pieces   Pick up an application in the counseling office.

Sankofa Foundation Scholarship

Preference is given to students who have demonstrated exceptional involvement and service to the community and who have greater needs given their socioeconomic background.  Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA.  Pick up a scholarship in the counseling office.

Must be accepted to attend Texas Tech University

Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Must be actively involved in your local Catholic Community

CHI RHO FOUNDATION Father Tito Sammut 2008 Scholarship

Must be accepted to attend a college, university or seminary in a major study of Catholic Theology or preparation for a religious vocation.

Must have a cumulative average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Urban Scholarship Fund Scholarship

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must demonstrate financial need (EFC not exceeding 00000)

UNT Multicultural Scholarship Award

Must be a minority   Must have UNT enrollment application submitted by March 15th  

Applicant must score at least 1000 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT

Should be in the top quarter of their class

Must be the entering freshman requirements and have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Harvard University

Students admitted to Harvard with a total family income of less than $60,000 will not be required to pay any portion of the cost of education.  Families with incomes between $60,000-$80,000 will pay a reduced cost.

 

 

 

Oklahoma State University Nonresident Achievement Scholarship

Must have at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA.  Amount of award is based on ACT or SAT (Math and Verbal) scores.

     30 ACT (1320 SAT) or higher             $7,000/academic year ($3,500/semester)

     29 ACT (1280-1310 SAT)                   $6,000/academic year ($3,000/semester)

     28 ACT (1240-1270 SAT)                   $6,000/academic year ($3,000/semester)

Texas A&M Regents Scholarship Program

Must be a first generation college student.  Total family income must be less than $40,000.
