Mission Statement

Latinos Stand Up provides innovative parent and student programming focused on improving the academic performance of Latinos at Nimitz High School.  The organization also orients families to the American school system in order to assure they can make informed educational decisions.

Goals

• Improve graduation rates
• Improve college attendance and completion rates
• Improve overall student academic performance
• Increase population of informed Latino parents
• Increase enrollment in AP, GT, Honors and Dual Credit courses
• Increase parent, student and community involvement in schools
