$5.00 (family tickets can also be

performances have been heard in the most prestigious venues all over
Europe, in Morocco, Jordan, Israel, Gabon, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil,
Australia, and in the U.S. |
IISD Service Awards
A
Service Awards Banquet was held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Travis
Middle School to honor employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40
years of service to the district. Irving ISD wishes to honor the
305 employees with 4,485 years of service to the district. Special
thanks to all who have served so faithfully through the years! |
2008-2009 School Calendar Approved
The
Irving ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2008-2009 school calendar at
the March 21st board meeting. The calendar includes 177 days of
instruction for students and 185 work days for

Board Approves New Salary
Schedules
The
Irving ISD Board of Trustees adopted new paraprofessional salary schedules
at the March 10th board meeting. These schedules are
effective for the 2007-2008 school year only. These salary
schedules are now posted on the Human Resources site. |

Spanish Oral Proficiency Stipend
The
IISD School Board approved a $500 Spanish Oral Proficiency Stipend for
the 2007-2008 school year for any Professional or Paraprofessional
Employee not currently receiving a Bilingual stipend. To qualify,
employees must score a 4 or better on the TOPT or pass a District
Approved Equivalent Assessment... |
Outstanding Teacher or Employee of the Month Nominations
Administrators and Staff: It is never too late to nominate
outstanding teachers and employees for the Outstanding Teacher or
Employee of the Month Award. Committees select one from each
category to honor at a school board meeting each month and we are
always in need of new nominations! Thank you for your input!

service organization represents all paraprofessionals in the Irving
ISD. IAEOP is a local chapter of the state affiliate, Texas
Educational Secretaries Association. IAEOP meetings are held six
times a year ... I am asking for your support in joining us this
year. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know others across
the district and there is no other district-wide event which allows
paraprofessionals to convene as a group... |

Their library contains hundreds
of tutorial videos for multiple software applications. Their
content is created by certified teachers, for teachers and students.

Instructional Aides Must Have
Current Address on File with SBEC
All
paraprofessionals who are instructional aides must keep their addresses
current with SBEC. In order to do this, you must to go the SBEC

Kronos Clock
All paraprofessionals will be using the KRONOS
system to log in and out of work. Please do not report to work and
sign into Kronos more than five minutes before your shift begins or
five minutes later than you are scheduled to leave.
