Bull Ring

Concept Being Taught: Cooperation and Communication Skills
Objective: To have the group of students discuss different ways to complete a given task and then as a group complete the task.
Grade Level: 3-5
Equipment: 6 Bull rings.  To make the rings take a shower curtain holder or large key rings.  Cut a yarn/string into 10 foot sections and fold the yarn/string around the ring.  That will give you two ends per one string.  Place 6-10 strings around each ring, that will give you 12-20 ends.  A tennis ball for every Bull Ring and several cones spread out around the playing area.

Game Description: Have each student hold one end of the string or each student holds two ends.  Depending on the number of students in your class.  Have the students sit on groups and discuss different ways to get the tennis ball onto the Bull Ring, lift the Bull Ring with the tennis ball in the air and to move as a group and have the tennis ball touch the top of every cone.  The Group may not touch the tennis ball.
Modifications: Different size balls the fit the size rings.
