| Objective: |
To have the students practice
Kicking using the correct kicking motion. |

| Equipment: |
Soccer balls and bowling pins, one
per group |
| Playing Area: |
Any surface where the bowling pin
will stand up. |
| Cues: |
Step with opposite foot and place it
next to or slightly in front of the ball. Kicking the ball with the
inside of the kicking foot and follow through. |
| Game Description: |
The students stand and make a
circle. Have one student stand in the middle guarding the bowling
pin. The guard has to stay at least 3 feet away from the bowling
pin. The students kick the ball at the pin. If the bowling
pin falls over by the ball hitting it or the guard knocks down the bowling
pin, the person who kicked the ball is now the guard. Have the guard
stand in the ready position (knees bent, feet shoulder width apart,
slightly bent at the waist and head up) |
| Modifications: |
Encourage the students to pass the
ball to other students that are around the circle before throwing the ball
at the pin. Hopefully to catch the guard out of position. |
