Opportunities for Masters Degree

Information Meeting
We have scheduled an information session to provide more information about the partnership and degree programs.

 Tuesday, May 13, 2008
4:15 - 5:00 p.m.

Irving ISD Board Room
2621 W. Airport Freeway

Irving ISD Teachers and Administrators:

Irving ISD is working with Lamar University to offer district employees a high-quality, fully accredited master’s degree in Teacher Leadership or Educational Administration completed in 18 months for a preferred price of $4,950.  Both Lamar University and Irving ISD’s goal is to offer employees the opportunity to participate in an affordable master’s degree program to promote professional growth.

Coursework in the M.Ed. Teacher Leadership is designed to expand and improve teaching strategies and to enhance the ability to effectively manage instruction for diverse learners.  The M.Ed. Educational Administration is designed to develop instructional leadership skills and also leads to a principal certification.

Irving ISD employees will have access to a preferred payment plan that includes 12 payments of $412.50 over 18 months, a fraction of the cost of traditional programs. If you are interested in pursuing a master’s degree, but you have not been able to find the right program, this may be the one for you.  I hope you will consider attending the informational session.
