PTA Spring Conference
Register Now for PTA Spring Conference All local and Council PTAs in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Lewisville ISD, Little Elm ISD, Irving ISD, Coppell ISD, Denton ISD, Lake Dallas ISD, Cooke County and Denton County are invited to attend Area 16’s Spring Conference/Annual Meeting “Destination PTA” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26. Leader Orientation Training will be held the evening prior, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Location for both days’ events is Ranchview High School, 8401 E. Valley Ranch Parkway, Irving. Hosted by Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Council PTA, this conference is a mini-convention featuring State PTA training. Area 16 PTA President Susanne Hutchinson encourages all local PTA officers, chairmen, and future leaders to attend this networking/education event. Area 16 leaders will be elected, and leader orientation training and a variety of workshops will be conducted by State and Area PTA Board Members. Texas PTA Leadership Development Chairman Pam Becknal will address the general session and lead workshops. Isaac Simon, TX PTA Director of Marketing and Fund Development will present TX PTA Free Websites. Special guest speaker Brenda Bird will be featured at the luncheon. All local units are encouraged to pre-register by April 12, 2008. Pre-registration and luncheon tickets must be pre-paid. Registration fee is $5, luncheon is $10, and Leader Orientation Training is $6. On-site registration will take place on the day of the conference at $10 per person; however, there will be no luncheon sold after the deadline of April 12. Childcare will be available, at a nominal fee, for Leader Orientation Training Friday evening, and also for the Conference Saturday. Spanish translation will be available for LOT Friday evening.
