Strong School Programs - Irving ISD

Strong School Programs ©

Strong Fathers and Strong Families are quality parent involvement programs. The programs and events are focused on parent (especially father) involvement that may emphasize academic achievement, safe and drug free schools, how to counter tobacco use, behavior intervention. Strong Schools programs may be funded through Title I funds, Safe and Drug Free Schools Funding, PTA initiatives, and other grant funding.

One morning a few more grownups than normal were seen walking the halls and sitting in the classrooms at Brown Elementary School. Most of these grownups were fathers of students and they were there to learn what a day at school is like for their sons and daughters as part of a program called Strong Fathers, Strong Families.
