Supplies for Success

Donations

Irving businesses and individuals are invited to participate in the Fifth Annual Mayor & Firefighters’ Supplies for Success school supply drive. This city-wide event is held to collect school supplies for economically disadvantaged students who attend school in Irving ISD.

All Irving fire stations will be collecting donations from July 6–August 7. Persons wishing to donate supplies are encouraged to visit their neighborhood fire station. School supplies will be sorted and delivered by Chase Bank volunteers to counselors at every Irving ISD school. The counselors will give economically disadvantaged students supplies that they need at the beginning of the school year.

School supplies needed include:

  • backpacks

  • manila paper

  • one-, two-, or three-inch notebook binders

  • one-subject spiral notebooks

  • construction paper

  • dry-erase markers

  • highlighter sets

  • pens

  • pencils

  • erasers

  • wide-rule notebook paper

  • colored pencil and marker sets

  • large glue sticks

  • 16- and 24-count crayons.

Parents in need of assistance with supplies should contact their Irving ISD school counselors. Businesses interested in donating supplies are encouraged to contact Thelma Cantu, partnerships in education coordinator, at 972-215-5017, or via email to tcantu@irvingisd.net.

Donations will also be accepted at the following fire stations:

  • Fire Station No. 1 – 925 Chamberlain St.
  • Fire Station No. 2 – 1306 N. Story Road
  • Fire Station No. 3 – 1825 E. Grauwyler St.
  • Fire Station No. 4 – 3303 N. MacArthur Blvd.
  • Fire Station No. 5 – 2925 W. Shady Grove Road
  • Fire Station No. 6 – 2801 Esters Road
  • Fire Station No. 7 – 3303 Walnut Hill Lane
  • Fire Station No. 8 – 650 E. Las Colinas Blvd.
  • Fire Station No. 9 – 8101 Jetstar Drive
  • Fire Station No. 10 – 415 Cimarron Trail
  • Fire Station No. 11 – 6200 Love Drive

Cash donations also will be accepted.   Make check payable to Irving ISD.

Parents
