Individuals who are no longer enrolled in a Texas public school and who have not previously passed all sections of the TAKS or TAAS, but have met all other graduation requirements, may retake the section(s) not mastered on the testing dates below.

REGISTRATION

Registration packets for Out-of-School students are available at all IISD high school campuses and the Irving ISD administration building.  Packets are also available at all regional education service centers.  Online registration must be completed and received in Austin, Texas by 5:00 p.m. June 13, 2008.  It is also possible to register online by accessing http://k12testing.tx.ncspearson.com/tx_oos.htm.

TEST SITE

The designated Irving ISD Out-Of-School test site is:

• All examinees must report to the site above by 7:45 AM on the appropriate test administration day. 

• All examinees must show picture ID to be admitted to the testing site and take the TAAS / TAKS administrations.

DEADLINE

The Texas Education Agency, NCS Pearson, and the Irving Independent School District will not be responsible for registration forms that are delayed or lost in the mail.  To ensure that individuals are registered, forms should be sent by either registered or certified mail.  Questions concerning out-of-school examinee testing should be directed to the Texas Education Agency, Division of Student Assessment, at (512) 463-9536, or to the Irving Independent School District at (972) 215-5085.
