IISD Employee, Irving ISD has long considered outstanding employee attendance to be highly desirable, as substitutes in any field make our educational operation less effective. Student learning is our priority, and employee attendance is a critical factor in attaining student success. With this in mind, the IISD Board of Trustees approved a new plan on October 7th to reward outstanding employee attendance. This plan is called the Exemplary Attendance Plan. As you can see from the attached summary, the Exemplary Attendance Plan will reward employee attendance (one absence or less each semester) with additional local sick leave days. These days will be placed in a separate account and may be used in one of three ways:
The District hopes this incentive will increase attendance and retention of our valuable employees. It is an affordable package of benefits that could be very valuable if utilized wisely.
