Bloodborne Pathogens on Blackboard

Must be completed by October 30, 2009

All district employees are required to complete training every year on Bloodborne Pathogens.  To complete this requirement all staff can access the online Health Services course, review the online PowerPoint and take the Bloodborne review.

Instructions are below if you need help accessing this course.

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to the Irving ISD Blackboard site at:  blackboard.irvingisd.net

Click the “User Login” button and then use your district login and password to access the site.

Click on the “Courses” tab in the upper left

In the course search field, type “bloodborne” and click “Go”

Find the course
     admin.healthservices: Health Services (Tuberculin Skin Test and Bloodborne Pathogens)

1. View the Bloodborne Pathogens PowerPoint:

Click on “Health Content” on the left column
    
Click on “Bloodborne Pathogens” (red letters)
Click on “Click HERE to view the PowerPoint ”
Click OPEN
Click on and view PowerPoint Presentation

3. Take the Bloodborne Pathogens Test:

After viewing PowerPoint, click on “Take the Test” in left column
    
Click on District Bloodborne Pathogens Test
Click “OK” to begin your test.

To Take the Test
Clicking on the radio button of each answer you think is correct
When finished answering the questions, click “Submit”
Click “OK” twice
Review and PRINT your results/answers.

3. Turn in the PRINT of your results to Health Services:

PRINT YOUR RESULTS PAGE as proof that you have completed the assignment and give to your school nurse or give to the Health Services Department at the administration building.

(If you FORGET to print your results ... you will need to take the online assessment a second time to get proof that you have completed the assignment.)
