How do I use FTP with Internet Explorer?

Answer:

See steps below.

First you MUST be inside the district network for this to work.
Start Internet Explorer and go to your FTP folder, i.e., FTP://www.irvingisd.net/~jsmith

Once you have opened your window if you see a DIRECTORY (shown above)  instead of icons (shown below)  use the VIEW menu and come down to "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer" to get the screen below.

Now RIGHT CLICK anywhere in the white space of the screen and choose LOGIN AS:

Enter your network domain login, ie, "jsmith" and your network password.

Now you can drag and drop documents into the window to add them to your web folder.
