Saving a Webpage Created in Word This is a frequently asked question ... can I save a webpage that is created in word to my teacher webspace. Answer: YES, provided you have emailed the webmaster and asked for space. |

Here is How: Create the page you want to be your webpage using Word.
Now that you have your website page typed in Word .... SAVE IT TO YOUR COMPUTER as a regular word file. If you forget to save it to you computer ... then you won't be able to open it later and make changes ... so don't forget this IMPORTANT step. Once you have it saved to your computer ... you are ready to publish it to the web (your web folder) ... here is how. Go to FILE and drag down to SAVE AS ... then type in the address of
your FTP site,
Notice now that WORD is pointing at your web folder and you can click on the "Default.htm" or "Index.html" page that is currently there and overwrite it. It is important that you write your HOME page OVER the existing home page since our server will look for one of these names.
You can save future pages (other pages) under different names. Now go visit your home page on the web! |
