New Membership Rates Effective July 1, 2011Regular Members: Remit $4.50 per member to Texas PTA. Life Members: Remit $2.25 per member to Texas PTA to cover the national dues portion plus local PTA Portion as specified in bylaws.
- Send a membership roster,
Texas PTA Dues Report Form and state and national
portions of dues to Texas PTA when collected by the
Local PTA.
- The state and national portion of dues are held in
escrow by the Local PTA and should be submitted to Texas
PTA within 5 business days.
- Texas PTA submits the national portion of dues to
National PTA.
- An individual may join more than one PTA by paying
the national, state and local portions for each
association.
- A minimum of 20 members is required to organize and
to maintain an active status.
- A Texas PTA Honorary Life Member is exempt from
paying the state portion of their dues at one PTA of
their choosing per Honorary Life Membership Award
received.
- The Local PTA does not have to pay the state portion
of dues for Texas Life Members.
- PTA membership rosters are not to be released to
outside interest.
- Children should not be used to sell PTA memberships!
- Members should be recruited and reported year-round. Members who join after March 15 should still be reported immediately to Texas PTA and will be posted to the new membership reporting year.
