School Uniforms / Dress Code

Middle School Uniforms
Grades 6-8

Middle schools will follow guidelines for student dress listed below. Individual schools may have additional requirements. Refer to local school communications for details.

GIRLS

Skirts, shorts or skorts
   ▪ navy or khaki
   ▪ bottom hem may not be worn more than 2 inches above the knee
   ▪ no denim

Pants (with belt if appropriate)
   ▪ navy or khaki
   ▪ no leggings, knits, spandex, jeans or oversized pants

Collared shirt or blouse
   ▪ white, light blue, hunter green, navy, or approved school shirts
   ▪ must be tucked in
   ▪ button up or polo style
   ▪ short or long sleeve
   ▪ campus approved logos only

BOYS

Pants with belt
   ▪ navy or khaki
   ▪ classic style, straight or pleated
   ▪ must be worn on the waist
   ▪ no denim or oversized pants

Shorts with belt
   ▪ navy or khaki
   ▪ must be worn on the waist
   ▪ may not be more than 2 inches above the knees

Collared shirt
   ▪ white, light blue, hunter green, navy, or approved school shirts
   ▪ must be tucked in
   ▪ button up or polo style
   ▪ short or long sleeve
   ▪ campus approved logos only

ALL 

Sweaters
   ▪ navy blue
   ▪ cardigan, pullover, or vest
   ▪ may be worn over the approved shirt

GENERAL RULES

Pants 
   ▪ must be classic style, straight or pleated
   ▪ no oversized, baggy clothing will be tolerated
   ▪ no cut-offs or frayed pant legs will be allowed

Logos on clothing
   ▪ logos may NOT be visible from the front and may be allowed only on the 
       rear waist band or pocket as designed by the manufacturer
   ▪ maximum logo size is 2"  (with the exception of authorized school logos)

Footwear
   ▪ no standard dress policy regarding footwear at this time

Hair
   ▪ must look natural in color
   ▪ be groomed in a fashion that its appearance does not cause disruption 
       to an effective learning environment
