Bus stops will be assigned during orientation on a
student's first day. Once a bus stop has been assigned, changes can only
be made by the bus driver when given permission in writing by that student's
parent/legal guardian.
Students are expected to observe the following rules
to earn their bus points and protect their bus riding privileges:
-
Be at the assigned bus stop and wait until your
bus arrives. Buses run at 7:15 am. The bus driver has to drive a
Texas Education Agency approved route. Due to weather, number of
stops, and traffic your bus may or may not arrive at the assigned time. You must be
standing at your stop when the bus is approaching. This rule applies
even in inclement weather.
-
No talking on the bus.
-
Sit in your assigned seat. You will be
assigned a row as you enter the bus in the morning. If you are the first
one in your row, sit by the window, the following students will sit next to
you.
-
Sit down completely in your seat with your back
against the seat, your feet should be on the floor in front of you and your
head should be facing forward. No part of your body should be in the
aisle of the bus.
-
Remain seated at all times, keeping your arms and
hands below the top of the seats and your head up.
-
Do not eat, drink or chew gum on the bus.
-
Keep the bus clean.
-
In the afternoon, return to the seat you were
assigned in the morning - NO EXCEPTIONS. The front row is reserved for
students who are new or who have missed the bus in the morning.
-
Follow instructions the first time they are given.
