Open Enrollment for 2008-2009 Benefits

Open Enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year will begin August 1, 2008.  All current employees will enroll via the Munis Employee Self Server (ESS) portal in August.  All New Hires must attend the New Hire Benefits Meeting on August 15th at 4:00 pm in the Nimitz HS Auditorium.

 Q:  Will my current doctor be included in the list of healthcare providers from BlueCross/BlueShield?

 A:  You can go to the BlueCross/BlueShield website and see if you doctor is in the list.

 Q:  What will be the cost of my prescriptions for next year?

 A:  Below is the link to the pharmacy information and you can use the rate finder.  This is not exact yet to our account but can give you an idea until everything is setup.

 Q:  Where can I get a list of the preferred drug guide for Blue Cross/Blue Shield?

 A:  You can get a copy of the preferred drug list from the Blue Cross/Blue Shield website.  Remember this list is is NOT specific to our plan so there might be minor differences:

 Q:  What is an EPO?  The Benefits Summary 2008-09 (above) refers to an EPO Network.  What is it?

 A:  EPO refers to an Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPO). Participants must use providers in the network of coverage or no payment will be made.
