Social Skills and Behavior Resources
Here is the link to the online training for the TBSI training requirement. This training is required of all campus crisis team members. When you have finished the modules, complete the evaluation forms, print them, and send them to Nancy Young at Special Ed. You will receive staff development credit and a certificate of completion. Teaching Social Skills in the LA Curriculum This site is the result of a federal grant given to California so everything on it is free. It was developed for middle school students but you can adjust it easily for other levels. The curriculum comes complete with online activities for students and staff. Classroom Management using Visual Symbols Great resource to assist teachers and parents in teaching students about individual differences and tolerance needed in an open society like ours. Positive Interventions...Effective Strategies This site is the work of Dr. Laura Riffel. It has WONDERFUL resources on it. It has a link to the PIES manual...Positive Intervention and Effective Strategies. The behavior doctor site has great certificates that are printable that can be given to students for their behavior. Great site for addressing behavior needs in young children. Good online resources for dealing with misbehaviors that happen both at home and at school. UNC Reading and Behavior Improvement Center This site addresses reading and behavior issues. Its funded by a grant and aimed at interventions with students with serious emotional issues and/or problems learning to read. Think there could be a link?
