The Occupational Therapy Products list includes information regarding supplies or products that Irving ISD Occupational Therapists typically recommend to students, teachers and parents to assist students with handwriting, typing and/or sensory processing needs.  If there are any questions about supplies, teachers or parents can discuss the need or appropriate use of equipment with their campus Occupational Therapist. When ordering equipment, it is encouraged that you check several sources to find the most economical supplier, we do not endorse any one company.

Parents as Teachers National Center

This site provides information about nationally recognized family education and support program. For parents, the site suggests activities that encourage language development, intellectual growth and social and motor skills, explains the components of the program and features testimonials from other parents. Professionals discover the benefits of the program and many adaptations, training opportunities, program effectiveness and PAT's cutting edge neuroscience project.

Parentsplace

Parentsplace is a sort of virtual community offering many live chats on a variety of topics. It also offers a library of articles with a search engine. There is also the "reading room" where parents can find information for all kinds of parents.

Children Youth and Family Consortium

This site is a product of the University of Minnesota. It's also the host for FatherNet, which deals with the effect of fathers on children's development. The search engine is a quick way to find articles related to development, or you can browse the articles.
