The Superintendent of Schools shall have
discretionary authority to operate any or all of the schools on an abbreviated
day (not to be confused with half-day sessions). Where it is determined by the
superintendent to be necessary in order to meet all classroom assignments, he
may shorten each class period for the school to participate in school-sponsored
activities.
