Learning
Resources houses the instructional media center, the technical services
department, the textbook warehouse, and the director’s office. This
department orders, receives, and distributes library books, curriculum
items, and textbooks for all campuses. The director oversees the library
program.
The
Instructional Media Center, located in the Ratteree Career Development
Center at 2121 S. MacArthur Blvd., serves as the district’s Library Media
Center. The center, once known as the IC, houses class sets of paperback
books, videos, and professional library related books. These may be
requested online, via email to Betsy Johnson, or via the AV/Paperback Book
Request form below. These resources are available to the district’s
administrators, faculty, and staff in support of professional development
and the district’s curriculum.
Learning
Resources’ professional library, the Joe Cassel Professional Library, is
located upstairs next to the staff development department in the
administration building at 2621 W. Airport Freeway. It is available to
administrators, faculty and staff during normal office hours for
administrative offices. The items in this collection may be placed on hold
through the online catalog system as well.
Learning
Resources’ hours during the school year are 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday
through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Friday. During the summer,
hours will conform to those of the administration building.
