Handwriting paper for instruction will
be provided by the school district. Money should not be collected from
students for supplies, workbooks, or writing paper.
Supply lists for students will be
available in the school office. Expenses for student supplies should be
kept to a minimum. Check only items needed to begin the school year;
additional items may be requested as the school year progresses. A copy
of the classroom supply list should be filed by each classroom teacher in
the school office and should be given to each student at the close of the
first day of school.
It is against administrative
regulations and school board policy to suggest, recommend, or send a child
to a certain store or merchant in Irving or vicinity to purchase any type
of school supplies. The student and the parent/guardian should be
encouraged to inventory present supplies on hand before purchasing new
items.
