Opportunities |
All 5th grade student helpers are chosen from their evaluations by the
classroom and specials' teachers. These evaluations are based on
their attendance, dependability, courteousness, attitude toward others,
scholastic standing, citizenship, leadership, honesty and
responsibility. |

KJMS News Team
A team of Stipes 5th grade students produces a daily show on
the school's television station, KJMS (KJ-JohnM-MargieS-Stipes). Under the direction
of the Campus Technician and the Instructional Technology Specialist, they produce and star in a
presentation of news and announcements. Students apply and
audition for the available positions.

Safety Patrol
Stipes 5th grade students
serve as Safety Patrol members before and after school. They assist children
outside as they cross the driveway and streets, raise the flags, and monitor
students as they enter the building.

Green Team
Fourth grade students assist in the recycling jobs at
Stipes. They pick up paper to be recycled each week and collect
cans in front of the school on Fridays.
