(by
J. Pat Lamb) Over the last several years, I have sought to
keep you informed of security matters through an annual updated letter.
I truly feel that as parents and students of our District, you have a
right to know the steps we are taking to provide a safe, secure, and
orderly environment within our schools. Like you, I have watched the

the students, staff, and visitors of our District; we constantly strive
to improve, to learn of new methods, to train for the emergencies we
hope never to occur. And now, instead of looking over the horizon to
the potential for violence, we find concern for the health of our

The
President's Back-to-School Message to America's Students
The President talked directly to students across the country
on the importance of taking responsibility for their education, challenging
them to set goals and do everything they can to succeed. The White House
wanted to make sure that as many schools and classrooms nationwide could

address and all the information that cames with it available online. Whether
you are a teacher, a school board member, or a member of the media, you will
find information to help you watch and be engaged with the President in
welcoming our students back to school. |
