Dr.
Christopher Moersch is the Director of the
National Business Education Alliance, a non-profit organization
dedicated to elevating the
level of
technology implementation (LoTI) in school systems nationwide. Prior
to launching this organization in 1987, he was a school and county
administrator and classroom teacher in several school systems throughout
California. |

ISTE's CEO, Don Knezek, has a
distinguished career in educational technology, and he has been involved
with ISTE for many years. Since 1999, he has served as director of the
organization’s National Center for Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use
Technology. In that role, he created, established, directed, and
sustained the center and its programs, designed to improve the
technology preparation of new teachers. |

Anita Givens has served as the Senior
Director of the Instructional Technology Division of the
Texas Education Agency (TEA)
since 1994. Her responsibilities are to provide leadership for the
integration, utilization, evaluation, and expansion of instructional
technologies throughout the state through the on-going implementation of
the State Board of Education's Long Range Plan for Technology. |

Jack
Singley is superintendent of
Irving ISD where all students in grades 9-12 have wireless laptop
computers for use at home and school during the school year. Also
all teachers PK-12 receive and use a wireless laptop computer. In
October 1997, $47 million in bond funds were approved that funded a
five-year instructional technology plan that included networking schools
and other facilities. In October 2001, $54.8 million in bond funds
were approved to update equipment and to provide equipment for new
facilities and new programs. |
