Mrs. Land Next week in reading class, we will be starting a new story from our literature book entitled "Flowers for Algernon." Primarily, we will be analyzing the main character and the conflicts he encounters in the story. We will also be working on context clues and multiple-meaning words. In addition, the Pre-AP classes will be working on their Prefix Dictionaries. We go to the library twice a month. Every 8th grade student should have a library book checked out to them at all times. They should be bringing them to class daily and taking them home each night. It is recommended that students read at least 20 minutes every night. Parents, please talk to your students about what they are reading. Ask specifically about characters and conflicts. |
