Who are the SuperCat teachers?

Mrs. Ball grew up as a Marine Corp brat, so she moved around a lot growing up.  She graduated from Texas A&M University.  She has 2 sons and 3 wonderful grandchildren.  This is Mrs. Ball's 10th year to teach reading here at Travis.

Mrs. Civello grew up in Hawkins, Texas.  She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  She enjoyed school so much, she went back to Tarleton University to get her Master's Degree in Educational Administration.  She is a certified Principal, but loves teaching to much to leave it.  She still goes to all of the Tech football games.

Mrs. Forshage grew up (mostly) in the South.  She served eight years in the U.S. Army, doing two tours in Korea.  She graduated with honors from the University of North Texas and holds teaching certification in Math and English as a Second Language.  This is Mrs. Forshage's third year here at Travis.

Coach Garza grew up in Midland, TX.  She graduated from Midland High School and played soccer her entire life including in college.  I attended the University of Dallas which game her the opportunity to live in Italy for 6 months.  She is married to John Garza and they have the cutest 2 yr. old – Cole Garza and a cat named Bonkers.  Her two favorite things are Dr. Pepper and cheesecake.

Mrs. McDonald is a military brat and was raised all over the world including Guam, Germany, Greece, Alabama, Florida and Texas. At the age of 10, her family moved to the United States and she lived in Alabama until after college.  Mrs. McDonald graduated from Troy University in Troy, AL in 2003. This is her first year at Travis Middle School and she is so excited to be a Bobcat! Prior to teaching at Travis Middle School, she taught high school journalism on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Mrs. McDonald is married with one daughter and she enjoys teaching, reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Speed was born and raised in East Texas.  She graduated 4th in her high school class.  Upon graduating from high school, Ms. Speed attended Texas A&M University in College Station. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education with a secondary Life Science degree.  Being an Aggie means a lot to her, as does her beautiful niece, Maddie and adorable nephew, Jake.
