Flags and Friends Project
This was a year long project where the students shared
their thoughts and ideas about America with people around the world.
Student collected data and used Excel to organize and graph the data they
collected.
Fifth graders in Ms. Eason’s social
studies class at Elliott Elementary School are making new friends …around
the world. The class is taking part in a program called Friends & Flags in
which students create cultural care packages for their peers in other
countries. Ms. Eason’s class sent packages to Sweden, Israel and Canada,
each with a collection of American symbols and articles from daily life in
the U.S. The class has received packages in return from Israel and Sweden.
