Spanish Speaking Country Study

Assignment:

You will build a PowerPoint of 7-10 slides of facts about your country including

  • cultural information
  • population statistics
  • economic statistics
  • any other interesting facts

You may use books or the Internet, but DO NOT COPY.

See below for Internet sites and how to find a book in the library.

How to create a research assignment

When you give information in a research project, you paraphrase or summarize it—that means you read the facts then tell them in your own words.

QUOTING (taking sentences directly form a source) is allowed, but you have to GIVE CREDIT.

To give credit you first put the words, phrases or sentences you are copying in quotation marks (“….”).  Then, at the bottom of the slide, you will put the URL (web address) telling where you got the information.

You must have more than half of your information in your own words.

Having good information is more important

than having a pretty or cool PowerPoint.
