STEP 1:  Create your web pages using Publisher

You have your Publisher file (.pub) on your computer which you have created using a web template.

STEP 2:  Change your Publisher file to a web file

Open the Publisher file and choose File and drag down to SAVE AS.

You can save the webpages into your MY DOCUMENTS folder but name the file index.html and choose the TYPE of “Web Page.”

What you will find in your MY DOCUMENTS folder is two items.

A HTML file and a folder with the images, etc.

You will want to place these two items in your web folder.

STEP 3:  Publish your web files to the webserver

Open Internet Explorer and go to your FTP site.  For example: ftp://www.irvingisd.net/~jsmith
You will see a window like the one below:

In the window above use the VIEW menu and come down to "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer" to get the screen below.

You will see the same two files there that you need to overwrite.

Right-click on anywhere in the web folder and choose “login as”.

Use your regular login to open your permissions.

Now you can drag and drop your new files (in your MY DOCUMENTS folder) over the old files in the web folder.
