WolfPack Begins Title Defense with a Victory

The Irving Wolfpack began the 2004-05 hockey season with a win.  Hoping to defend last years conference title they defeated Colleyville 5 to 3 at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Euless on Sunday.  After a slow start, with a 2 to 0 deficit the Wolfpack came back to tie the game 2 to 2 at the end of the first period.  Both teams scored in the 2^nd period and in the 3^rd the WolfPack dominated scoring twice to make it 5 to 3.

The Wolfpack out shot Colleyville 20 to 9.  Jason Roemer scored 3 goals and had 1 assist, Cole Edwards had 1 goal and 1 assist, Konrad Stoick had 1 goal and 1 assist and Brian Dinkelkamp had 3 assists.
