STAR stands for Students Taking Adventures into the Real World.  I give parents, families, and students an opportunity to do something fun outside of school.

Last year we had three events.  We painted pottery at Arts Afire, went to Sensory World in April, and then went bowling in May.  I love continuing the tradition!

Bowling with the STARS
Students and parents in Andrea Keller and Shawn Volkmann’s special education class at Stipes Elementary School met at AMF Bowling Lanes in Irving for the class’s first Students Taking Adventures into the Real World (STAR) event of  the year.
