We love using technology in the classroom! My class also loves to video conference.  They enjoy seeing themselves on the big screen and talking to other classes.

Our class was able to take part in a video conference on National Talk Like a Pirate Day! An 8th grade classroom in Kansas (Mrs. Smoke’s class) was discussing antipiracy laws and rules.  To wrap up the unit they were offering 15 minute video conference times.  For younger classrooms they read a story and sang a sea shanty.  For the older classrooms they discussed piracy laws.

We are podcasting for a video that we made for the fall.  We used an iPod with a microphone attached to it.  The students love to hear their voices on the computer!

Our speech pathologist has started to use interactive  games on the projector.  Here her assistant is helping a student use a voice output device to answer where the snowman is.
