Welcome to Mrs. Keller’s very best class.

I wanted to take a few moments to introduce myself.

I am Andrea Keller.  This is my fourth year at Stipes and it is my fifth year in Irving.  I have now taught special education for 7 years.

I grew up in Canyon, Texas (very close to Amarillo)  My wonderful parents still live in Canyon and have recently bought a local bookstore.  I have a younger sister who also lives in Canyon.  I am married to a wonderful classically trained Executive Chef.  We have two dogs.  Our collie is Wolfgang and our Jack Russell terrier is Ladybug.  We also have a Sun Conure Parrot and his name is Basil.  I love volunteering! After being in Irving for a year I became the Co-Service Unit Manager of the Irving Girl Scouts. I have been involved in Girl Scouts since I was in kindergarten (over 20 years) I walked in the Breast Cancer 3 Day, volunteered as a Crew member, and will be a part of the Crew again next year.  I am in charge of the Stipes yearbook, and have done that since we opened 4 years ago.  This year Stipes started their first Destination Imagination team.  I was a Co-Team Manager for the DI team and we placed 6th at Regionals!  I will be graduating with my masters this summer in Educational Technology.  While working on my masters I have had a chance to present at several different conferences over using technology with children with disabilities.  2 years ago I was so lucky to be honored as Stipes PTA Lifetime Member.  It was a huge honor to represent Stipes.  I am very excited to be working with your child this year.  Please feel free to call or email me at akeller@irvingisd.net.
