CMAT LAN

Currently Peer to Peer. Connects all computers in a star pattern at each Work Area. Work Areas are connected along a serial back bone. There is a master computer for back up file copies and each team has an administrative computer with a CD-RW writer which, when shared, provides CD write capability for any file. Knowledge, of networking and network structures is essential to successful completion of the CMAT program. Every team member is encouraged to find and view "Good Warriors" for additional information on networks and how they work. Since the entire movie is quite lengthy teams are encouraged to view it as a team at their administrative computer.

Team A through Team D team nets are used to transfer files from one work group to another (i.e. WA2, 3D Studio Max, to WA3, Director.) Separate team peer to peer LANs reduce inter team file raids. Inter division file raid, with in a given team identifier (Team A, Team B, etc.) are still possible.

The Administrator uses the team net to transfer files, burn and/or back up files and transfer down loaded internet files to team work stations.
