PREMISE

An extremely abbreviated, concise description of what the viewer will see. Usually not over two or three sentences in length.

The first of three basic building blocks. After the team has reviewed the marketing analysis and formulated a rough idea of what it will produce, the team develops the projects premise. A premise is always from the viewers perspective and does not include how the team will accomplish its objectives.

Example:

A man walked down the street, saw a hole and fell in.

After the Premise the the team develops the Flow Chart and Story Board.
