STORY BOARD The Story Board provides a pictorial representation, with jumps in time, of what the product will look like. It follows the Premise and may be developed at the same time as the Flow Chart. The Story Board gives the team a common focus. Every one in the team is creating the same product. Story board and premise work hand in hand as this example shows.
(Premise: A man walks down the street, see a hole and falls in it.)
From an interview with Rob Cohen, Director of "Fast and Furious" : "I would dream up a shot, storyboard the shot and I would take the shackles off. Anything I thought up, I put on a drawing. Then we'd go, "How can we do it?"
