Congratulations to the Travis MS Varsity Orchestra who
earned a rating of "Excellent" (Div. 2) at the 2009
TMEA Region XX UIL Concert & Sightreading Event!
The Travis Middle School Advanced Orchestra performed
at the 2009 Peak Music Festival, held at Argyle High
School on Saturday, April 4. Our group earned a "Superior"
rating as well as being Selected Most Outstanding Group
of the Day.
The Travis Advanced Orchestra Strings Recital and Irving
ISD Solo & Ensemble was a huge success! We had 15
student with Superior Solo ratings and 5 of 7 ensembles
were also named Superior Ensembles.
The Beginning Orchestra will attended the
Sandy Lake Orchestra Festival on May 16.
Our students earned a Division II rating,
and we had a great time at the park!
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to
our team to make the 2008-2009 school year
