Thoughtful Literacy
Humans do not enter the world with minds, but with brains. The
task of education, acculturation, and socialization is to convert brains
into minds. Brains are born, and minds are made: and one of the
privileges of the teaching profession is to have an important part to
play in the shaping of minds.

Britain Elementary has been my teaching home since
1977. I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grades here. During
those years I have seen many changes to the building and the people who
work here, but one thing that has not changed is the students.
They all come eager to learn! |
| Of all the subjects that I teach, I love
reading and writing the most. If a child learns to read well, that
will open most any door in his or her future! |
