Adriana Rico-Garcia, Principal
I am excited to return as the principal at Lee Britain Elementary School, and it is an honor to have the opportunity to serve such an outstanding community. It is my desire to work with you, your children, and our fantastic staff to foster a strong sense of community in order to continue to increase student achievement.
I started my educational career in a 3rd grade bilingual classroom in El Paso, Texas. My career in Irving ISD began in 2000 and I have served as a 1st grade bilingual and 5th grade bilingual teacher. From the varied experiences throughout my career, I have learned that the best method to increase and maintain high student achievement is to foster the development of a strong school community where the administration, staff, and parents collaborate in order to best meet the needs of our students.
I am a proud mother of 3 boys who are products of Irving ISD. My oldest son graduated from Irving High in 2014, my middle son in 2016 and my youngest who has currently graduated this 2018.
I truly believe strong partnerships and open communication between parents and school will lead to academic success for all students. Therefore, I invite you to visit our school and to actively participate in your child’s education. This participation may come in a variety of forms including: joining the PTA, working as a volunteer at the school, checking your child’s homework and agenda on a daily basis, in addition to attending school-wide events.
Again, I am thrilled about being a member of Lee Britain Elementary School where we show our Mustang Pride by being/or having:
