CASE Rubric for Digital Learning Environment

  • Keith Wyrick (Instructional Technology Coordinator), along with Shane Smith, Dawn Richardson, and Patricia Alvarado rated campuses via committee based on the criteria below.  Ratings for each category were then assigned a number (unacceptable = 1; acceptable = 2; recognized = 3; exemplary = 4).  Campuses received an overall score based on the sum of all subcategory ratings, and the overall campus score was determined based on the following score ranges:

    • Exemplary = 15+
    • Recognized = 10-14
    • Acceptable = 5-9
    • Unacceptable – 0-4

When converting ratings for the CASE system, a score of Exemplary was converted to an A, a score of Recognized was converted to a B, and an acceptable score was converted to a C.  Should overall scores fall below a C grade, they were rated on a case by case basis to determine grade (e.g., either a D or an F).
