What is the Dallas County Promise? Am I eligible?
The Dallas County Promise is a program that provides tuition-free education, success coaching, and mentorig from schools and leaders in the DFW region. The Dallas County Promise Pledge opens for high school seniors on September 1, 2020, and is open for citizens and non-US citizens that qualify for Texas residency.

Dallas County Promise es un programa que proporciona educación sin costo, consejería y tutoría por parte de escuelas y líderes en la región de DFW. Nuestro formulario “Promise Pledge” de Dallas County Promise abre para los estudiantes del último año de la preparatoria (Class of 2021) el 1 de septiembre de 2020, y está abierto a estudiantes ciudadanos estadounidenses y los que no sean ciudadanos estadounidenses que califiquen para la residencia TX.

Promise Pledge opens for 2021 graduates! All eligible students should take the pledge to confirm interest in receiving tuition assistance, coaching, and other Promise benefits. Click here for more information on the Dallas County Promise Pledge.
December 1, 2020
ECHS admission to UNT Dallas for other competitive scholarships.
January 15, 2021
SMU program deadline & TAMU-Commerce financial aid deadline.
February 5, 2021
Promise Pledge + Admissions application due for Promise Partner Colleges & Universities (dates may vary by institution).
March 5, 2021
FAFSA/TASFA submission due (except SMU & TAMU-C)
July 30, 2021
Registration deadline for Promise students to register for classes (dates may vary by institution).
Rising Star Scholarships at DCCCD
Students attending DCCCD that meet financial requirements and have about a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale will automatically be awarded Rising Star to cover textbook costs; no separate application necessary.
