In-person and remote learners are provided school meals for FREE, including PreK students. Four-year-old PreK students receive both breakfast AND lunch. Three-year-old PreK students receive breakfast OR lunch depending on the student's half-day schedule.
School Meals for Remote Learners
School meals for remote learners are offered on Saturday mornings from 8:00-11:00 a.m. at the following locations:

- Nimitz High School | 100 West Oakdale
- Travis Middle School | 1600 Finley
- Houston Middle School | 3033 W. Country Club
- Crockett Middle School | 2431 Hancock
- Lamar Middle School | 219 Crandall
- Bowie Middle School | 600 E. Sixth
Irving ISD will distribute a meal packet containing 7 breakfast meals and 7 lunch meals in a curbside "grab and go" style.
Per the Texas Department of Agriculture, parents/guardians must bring their child OR keep them at home and bring either their student ID, birth certificate, report card, or letter sent from the Food Service Department to receive meals.
If your child has a food allergy or requires a special diet, please complete the Special Diet form(s) to get the process started. The forms are listed below.
Once the form has been submitted, a representative from Food and Nutrition Services may contact you if we need further clarification or instructions.
This form must be used for students who require special diets due to disabilities, and should be updated whenever necessary (at least at the start of each school year). A medical doctor or other authorized, recognized medical authority must complete the applicable areas.
