To secure your child's spot for the current school year, click on the information below that best fits your family's needs. You will receive step-by-step instructions to enroll your child in Irving ISD PreK.

If you do not know your child's campus, visit the School Locator and enter your home address. Your child's assigned schools will be displayed.
2021-2022 PreK Registration

Tuition-Based, Full-Day for 3- & 4-year-olds
PreK registration is first-come, first-served.
For the 2021-2022 school year, tuition is approximately $100 per week and due at the 1st of each month.Step 1: Apply
Select your preferred campus and complete the online application starting Thursday, April 1.
- Kinkeade Early Childhood School:
- The 4-year-old program is full. Complete the Waitlist Form for Kinkeade ECS.
- The 3-year-old program is full. Complete the Waitlist Form for any of the three early childhood schools.
- Application for Pierce Early Childhood School:
- 4 year olds (southeast Irving)
- The 3-year-old program is full. Complete the Waitlist Form for any of the three early childhood schools.
- Application for Clifton Early Childhood School:
- The 4-year-old program is full. Complete the Waitlist Form for Clifton ECS.
- The 3-year-old program is full. Complete the Waitlist Form for any of the three early childhood schools.
Step 2: Registration
Complete online registration starting Thursday, April 1.
You will be required to upload the following documents:
- Parent/guardian identification: driver’s license, passport
- Proof of residence: lease, gas bill, water bill or electric bill in parent’s name. Phone/cable will not be accepted.
- Your child’s proof of age: official birth certificate or passport
- Your child’s social security card
- Current immunization records
Please Note: Parents needing assistance with registration, including uploading required documents, can contact their child's campus to schedule an in-person appointment.
Step 3: Language Testing (if applicable)
Schedule the PreK language assessment at your child’s campus. The campus will notify you if this step is necessary and will set an appointment in April and May.
Please note: Students determined as English Language Learners will qualify for the free, full-day PreK program.
Step 4: School Communication
Once you have submitted your PreK application, your PreK campus will contact you with next steps. - Kinkeade Early Childhood School:

- Proof of residence: lease, gas bill, water bill or electric bill in parent’s name. Phone/cable will not be accepted.

- Your proof of income for qualification:
- Recent paycheck stub (within 30 days)
- SNAP or TANF letter with EDG number
- Child support/alimony
- Medicaid letter with case number
- Pension/retirement
- Unemployment
- Disability or worker’s comp
- Proof of active military duty/disabled military (if applicable)
- Proof of Foster Care (if applicable)
- Texas Star Certificate (if applicable)

Head Start Free, Full-Day for 4-year-olds
PreK registration is first-come, first-served. Follow these steps to secure your child's spot for the 2021-2022 school year:
Step 1: Complete Head Start Pre-Enrollment Forms
Complete the Head Start Pre-Enrollment Form starting April 1. Upon completion, a Head Start representative will contact you directly to determine your child's eligibility. Pre-enrollment form links coming soon.
- Clifton Head Start (northwest Irving)
- Kinkeade Head Start (southwest Irving)
- Pierce Head Start (southeast Irving)
Step 2: Register and Submit Documentation
If your child is eligible for the Head Start program, complete online registration.
You will be required to upload the following documents:
