2026 Board of Trustee Election

Notice of Deadline to File Applications for Place on the Ballot

The 2026 Election for Board of Trustees for Single Member Districts 1 and 2 is scheduled to take place on May 2, 2026.

A School Board Trustee representing Single Member District 1 is to be elected on May 2, 2026 to serve a term of three (3) years.

A School Board Trustee representing Single Member District 2 is to be elected on May 2, 2026 to serve a term of three (3) years.

Irving ISD Board of Trustee Elections are conducted in May of each year in accordance with the Texas Secretary of State Uniform General Election Date and Board Policy BBB(Local).

First day to file for a place on the general election ballot is Wednesday, January 14, 2026

Last day to file for a place on the general election ballot is Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5 PM.

The deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy is February 17, 2026 at 5 PM.

Applications will be made available Monday, January 12, 2026

Candidate applications will be linked below and will also be available for pickup in person at the Legal Services office located at the Irving ISD Administration Building, 2621 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 1000, Irving, Texas 75062.
