Language Testing

Upon enrollment for the first time to a Texas public or charter school, all students are required by the state to complete a Home Language Survey that will answer two questions [19TAC §89.1215 (b)]:

Question 1: Which languages are used at home?

Question 2: Which languages are used by the child at home?

Question 3: If the child had a previous home setting, which languages were used? If there was no previous home setting, answer Not Applicable (N/A)

If the response to either question is a language other than English, your child will need to get language testing through the district. See below for details.
