Account Coding and Structure

The Texas Education Code requires that a standard school district fiscal accounting system be adopted by each school district. Financial data, adopted budget and final expenditures, are reported to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) annually. This standard coding structure facilitates decision making by various user groups.
