Texas School Immunization Requirements

Texas law requires that all children attending public or private schools, as well as institutions of higher education, be properly immunized. To enroll in school, students must provide valid documentation of immunizations verified by a physician or a public health clinic. Acceptable records include a signed document listing each required immunization and the month, day, and year it was administered. Incomplete immunizations at enrollment must be completed as soon as permitted by medical guidelines. • Meningitis (MCV4) vaccine booster dose required for college entry
• Meningitis B - optional for college
• Meningitis (MCV5 - ABCWY) - optional for college
• Human Papillomavirus (HPV) (ages 11 and up)
• Flu vaccine every year
